Interview with Dave

JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time?
Dave: nothing really we got chess checkers and cards i usually played the chess cause it took 30 minutes a game when spades took an average of 5 mins a hand i wanted time to really pass plus it was a thinking game it passed it faster using your brain .

JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details.
Dave: competition wasnt bad as far as games but it was bad when it came to the tv everyone was trying to change the channel especially when the football games came on i didnt mind long as it wasnt b ball ihate b ball with a burning passion they would bet on fotball

JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail?
Dave: no i did push ups and stuff but we were locked down 18 hours a day not much else to do

JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise?
Dave: we werent alowed outside any well actually we went outside once in 6 weeks they dont follow state laws in chilton county i dont guess

JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held?
Dave: yes they had church services on wednesday i always attended it made me feel better bout my situation i guess
