JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Jason: At wyandotte there was a basket ball gym in each
pod appoxamently fourty feet by fourty feet.
there was a weight set with bench press,
military press and leg press. They provided
pinocle and poker playing cards,board games
dominoes, and jig saw puzzles. you could order
books from the library and there was always a
rack of paper back books in the pods. Tina: none.
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Jason: you could ussually always get in on a game of
cards you may have had to wait a couple of games
but there were usually enough deks to go around.
You could always watch t.v. except during meals
and lock down but you probably aren't going to
get to watch what you want to watch Tina: nope.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Jason: no you could walk around the pod do push ups sit
ups or go for a jog out in the gym. the gym
windows were just bars so the air was fresh out
there. you could also play basket ball or work
out on the weight set Tina: nope you starve to death in there best diet ever
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Jason: never Tina: never.
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Jason: Yes. They held services on wednsday and sunday.
every one was available to attend church.They
was also church held in spanish for your spanish
speaking friends. Usually church was held in the
mornings. they had a veriety of religious groups
come in Tina: idk
