Interview with Dale

JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Dale: I received a sentence of 54-180 months (4 1/2-15 years) in the Michigan department of corrections.

JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Dale: After being sentenced, I was returned to the holding cell for approximately 3-4 hours until being taken back to the county jail. All I could think about was what going to happen to me when I got to prison, what it would be like, if I would survive it, and would anyone ever come to visit me. I felt sick to my stomach.
