Meals

Interview with Lewis

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Lewis: They served breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Lewis: The breakfast meals were fairly good. Everyone pretty much everyone ate all there food. The lunch meals were not good the inmates usually gave them away or did not even get up to eat them. The dinner meals were fairly good. Every inmate ate there dinner because it was the last meal they were getting.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Lewis: Yes they actually had good biscuits and gravy. They also had some good dinner meals like chicken and noodles with rice.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Lewis: The commissary was surprising cheap and had just about anything that a convenient store would have. It had huge bags of chips for $2.50 and lots of snacks. The guards also had cards tournament and used snacks as prizes.
