JM: How many different blocks were there? Ryan: there are 6 floors and each one has a cellblock
lettered A-N I think. I was on the 3rd floor so
there was A-H. But think the 2nd floor has more.
They have the lock down tanks. SoccerMom: In 1200 on the 4th floor we had A,B,C,D,E,F,H, J
(seg), K,L,M,N,P. I believe that is all of them.
I was a "floor worker" on that floor so had
exposure to all the "pods".
JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they? SoccerMom: they were by the letter & then they had sections
w/in the letters i.e. A pod has 4 sections such
as A1A,A1B, A2A, A2B. J pod is the segregation
cells where they are in constant lockdown except
rec. or medical - or court & they are escorted in
shackles to any of those events. K-P are
individual cells, mostly for medical & trustees.
JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks? SoccerMom: Most of the 4th floor is GP. There are certain
cells i.e. H2 that house aggrivated inmates. J
pod has the ones on trial for murder, or that are
there for serious offenses i.e. sex abuse of
children & such. There are a couple of "baby
tanks" for those under 21. E has one & I think A
pod has one too. There is a section in one of
the pods (D I think?) for "New Choices" & they
have medical, education & trustees in the K-M
tanks.
JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks? Ryan: The jailers were overall nice to me. I just did
my time and thats it. I am on bond right now. SoccerMom: Some of the pods were cleaner than others. The
baby tanks were the nastiest usually. The
trustee tanks tended to stay fairly clean.
