Pre-sentencing

Interview with Luke and Cameron

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Luke: sat in the tank waited for trial
Cameron: After I was arrested, I bonded out five days later. I was able to stay out while they trial got going.

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Luke: no
Cameron: I was arrested for aggravated assault with deadly weapon. They came looking for me but I wasn't around. Finally I decided to turn myself in and that's what I did. I turned myself into Hays county.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Luke: chained up, short and sweet
Cameron: I went to trial, worst thing I ever did. I had two attorney. The whole thing lasted 3 days... I was scared and nervous... didn't know what to expect, my lawyer said I should take a plea but the never offered one so we were kinda stuck. I didn't testify though.

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Cameron: The original charges was 5 first degree felonies... 3 were counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the other two were for organized crime with the internt to burglarize. They dropped all the counts but the assault.
