Interview with Leo

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Leo: 4th avenue jail was 4 or 5 levels with approximately 10 pods on each level.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Leo: A B C D and then numbered like A1 A2 C3 C4 etc

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Leo: All max security plus ppotective custody pods as well as super max security where inmates do not have contact with eachother at all. Also a pod for inmates getting into trouble call the hole

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Leo: Nicest it being one of the cleaner jail because it was new at the time and worst being the showers were nasty and open for everyone to see you. There was some coverage but basicaly you showered on display. The recreation area was terribley small. We through water filled soda bottles at toilet peper rolls for games.
