Interview with Richard

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Richard: it wasnt hard for me because i kept to my self sometimes there people who want to be a bad ass and start shit because they can but i would just get moved somewhere else if there was a problem

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Richard: respect is a big issue dont say things about someones woman dont sit on someones bed without asking dont fart at the dinner table little stuff but its basically about having respect for everyone in the cell and beeing clean keep your area clean do your part to keep the cell clean

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Richard: when i first came in on my probation revocation i knew someone who was in there and i asked to be put in there with him and they did it when i was in the felony cell block they didnt change very often but when i moved over to the misdemeanor side there was new people every day
