Interview with Kathy, Cameron, Norm, Arturo and Isidra

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Kathy: we can keep our socks an underwear bras, but not earrings, watch, necklace, belts, not even our shoes
Cameron: just socks underwear and long johns must be white and can not come in the mail
Norm: You were allowed to keep the shoes or sneakers you came in with along with socks and underwear and one white undershirt if you wore one in.
Arturo: socks, underwear and t-shirts were the only things allowed to be brought to you in the holding center
Isidra: We could only have whites which consisted of socks underweart-shirts boxers wife beaters oh and bras

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Kathy: we had blue pnts and white t shirts and a pair of blue running shoes with no shoe laces, everything was just plain no stripes
Cameron: old dirty orange pants and tee shirts tow of each and if you seen them you would not want to wear them to dig a ditch
Norm: Every inmate had an orange uniform. Each inmate wore an orange short sleeve shirt, long orange pants with no pockets or buttons or drawstring. Each inmate got two sets of shirts and pants allow with an orange long sleeve cotton sweatshirt.
Arturo: two orange tshirts and two pair of pants were the only clothes offered and you could have one pair of each washed a week bedding once a week
Isidra: We had a orange shirt v-neck and orange oants we wore our own sneakers. We also had to wear a orange t-shirt under oyr otger shirt

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Kathy: I would say t shirts they were always wanting more not to many wanted more pants
Cameron: if your lucky a sweatshirt if you can find one
Norm: No an inmate could get any item he needed by simply filling out a request form
Arturo: you were given two sets and that was all you could get
Isidra: The only clthing people really looked for were tge ones that looktge newest

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Kathy: I do not believe they had the same I think the men had orange and the women had blue
Cameron: no same today she got it tomorrow you got it
Norm: No everyone wore orange pants and shirts or sweatshirts
Arturo: no the clothes are the same
Isidra: No all our clotges were the same
