Good Behavior

Interview with Christian, Robert, Terry, Diana, Gina and Cindy

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Christian: i was released four days early do to good behavoor
Chris: No I didn't get released early even though I had no problems .
Robert: no I don't think they give you early time off in a county jail
Terry: I was not released for good behavior but they did offer that to long term inmates.
Diana: Yes, in a way. I wrote a letter to my judge explaining why i believe i deserve to get out early.
Gina: No they didn't care about that cause if that was the case I wouldn't of spent that long you only got good days for working
Cindy: no. you have to do all of your time. no good behavior merits

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Christian: two days per month is all they give you
Chris: I'm sure if you work for the jail you would receive two for one I'm not really sure though.
Robert: I don't have a clue, think that's for prison
Terry: If you worked for the facility every three work days give you 1 day of early release.
Diana: I am honestly not sure.
Gina: If you work and have a misermor 2 for 1 . No job 1 day a month.but for girls there are only about 15 jobs in the jail
Cindy: you can not get any time off unless you work a detail

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Christian: dont go written up or go to the hole for anything then everything is cool never witnessed any body looseing there time but i was the only person on my pod not going to the penetentary or waiting for court
Chris: Not fighting or disrespecting jail staff or getting and write ups for having contraband such a cigarettes or hooch or any weapons in your possession.
Robert: I don't think you get early time off, im sure people who got in fights or started trouble didn't get any time off, probabablt the opposite
Terry: Any fighting of any kind, Drugs, smoking, breaking the rules taking food out of the cafeteria. Disrespecting an officer, Stealing, No everyone seemed sneaky enough to get away with things until they did a locker search. i have only heard about it.
Diana: no fighting,arguing, smoking, sneaking in other cell mates rooms, sneaking in drugs, not taking your medicine or dealing medicine, arguing with officers or not wearing your uniforms.
Gina: Ya I listed my job cause my blood pressure was high and had a bad headache and ask to go back upstairs to see the nurse and I had to quit cause I couldn't finish the day
Cindy: you have to work a detail in order to get time off and if you have a detail and you get in trouble then u lose your job and your good time for the job
