Sentencing

Interview with Roxie and Jaime

JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Roxie: 15-years to life at 50% (although I did not know about the 50% until 2009).
Jaime: 36 months state prison with 18 months post prison supervision

JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Roxie: Yes, I spent a few hours in the holding cell after I was sentenced. I knew what the sentencing would be, so I was prepared. I was actually ready to get on with my future, to be transferred to where I honestly believed I would spend the rest of my life.
Jaime: I spent about 40 minutes in a holding cell after my sentencing, maybe a bit more. First i met with my attorney alone in a holding cell for a few minutes, then back in with everyone else while we waited for the rest of the inmates to go before the judge. They brang those of us who had court at that time on that day to and from court together.
