Interview with Calvin

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Calvin: I was in a pod but they also hav two tier cell blocks with cells. In the pod there was about 60 guys in the open dorm setting.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Calvin: Just numbers.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Calvin: Each ethnic group was have a set of pods and cells. The cell arefor higer risk and violent offenders. And if you really get into trouble they send you to the hole.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Calvin: The worst part of it was our canteen. They didn't have any coffee or soups because they couldn't let you have hot water. They had problems with guys taking the hot water and pouring on other people so that stopped providing that.
