JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Eric: There's nothing in north county facility that helped to pass the
time other than the floor where you can do push-ups. I passed
along time by talking with the guy that was in myself Huvafen
to be someone who hung out with the same crowd that I did
and who was about my age and who like to do the same
things with this time.
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Eric: I was always the biggest in the cell and the only white gang
member so I never had any problems using the equipment in
itself. I was at first dibs on whatever I wanted in there. North
County facility doesn't have really anything except for choice of
the top or bottom bunk but the county gel the main gel has put
us up and pull up bar. And I totally had some drugs on me
when I went to North County facility and I got to use all of them
because I didn't want to give them away
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Eric: I was not in as good as shape when I left the jail as when I
went in because I usually have a lot of physical activity for my
work where in jail I only had push ups and pull-ups
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Eric: There's no outside time in north county facility you're usually
only there for a few days but you can exercise by doing push-
ups or armpits off of the second track or if you know yoga
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Eric: I wasn't in north county facility on Sunday so I don't know if
there was a church there. I assume there is.
