Inmates

Interview with Rex

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Rex: I didnt find it difficult to get along with other inmates, I have been doing time for almost all my life and I know how adapt to any situation and get along with any type of person.

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Rex: I spend my time reading, playing cards and talking on the phone to my family back home. They dont offer many things to pass the time, the t.v. is left without volume so its hard to watch and the dorms are very loud anyways. Sometimes I would do crossword puzzles that I got from the GED teacher, but mostly I played cards to pasd time.

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Rex: No, the CO's make sure if you know someone or are related to someone that you are seperated. They try to make it as uncomfterable as possible. They constantly move and change your cellmates.
