JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process: Rex: I was dragged back and forth to court several times, you
have to get up at 3:30am to be at the courtho use at 5am
andmust wait in the bullpen untill for any, many hours
before the judge will see you. Its a long boring process, once
you see the judge you usually get set off for another month
or two. Untill finally you get sentanced.
JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested. Rex: No, I didnt have the police come by my house. I was driving
when I was pulled over and I was arrested. When I was
pulled over, the police made me get out of the car at
gunpoint and handcuffed me, from there I was questioned
at the local police department where I was formally placed
under arrest and taken to the Mail jail for several hours and
finally taken to North Broward jail.
JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall. Rex: Going to court the first few times was a waste of time. They
never seem to be ready for you and always set you off a
couple months. The courtroom was cold and they shackle
your hands and legs. They make you wait in the bullpen for
all those hours just to bring you in and set you off. Its a
waste of everyones time and taxpayers money.
JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of? Rex: My original charges were multiple charges of burglary, grand
theft and dealing in stolen property. I was convicted of
bulgary, grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
