Good Behavior

Interview with Rhett and Stewart

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Rhett: No, I was just waiting to get my phone call so I could get out.
Stewart: No, I violated my probation and the judge said he didn't let anyone off the hook who violates.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Rhett: I don't know about that. I do know that as a first time offender you get choices about taking different kinds of pleas so you can get your record expunged and that's what ended up happening with me.
Stewart: They only let us out every four hours and sometimes they wouldn't let us out all day because they claimed they didn't have enough CO's.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Rhett: I guess stay out of trouble.
Stewart: I witnessed some being taken to the hole or solitary confinement because they claimed they lost their razor in the toilet.... Other than that no problems
