Interview with Kyle and Lisa

JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Kyle: Yes we did only after you set up your list of people that you could call
Lisa: Yes

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Kyle: the people on the other end had to accept charge for you calling them and vice versa
Lisa: Like 10 bucks a call. I would guess like 100.

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Kyle: No- you just had to hope to God that the person you were calling was going to accept the crazy charges for a two minute phone call.
Lisa: You can, off commissary, or you can call collect but then you have to setup an acct

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Kyle: I really don't know if they did or not. It was a pay phone.
Lisa: Yes
