JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Larry: LOL we may have gotten to go outside 4 time my
entire time there and the rec yard was
ridiculousy small. other than that nothing but
TV and playing cards. with that being all we had
to occupy our time. We pretty much entertained
ourselves in there and did our own work outs in
our cells.
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Larry: With St. Clair County Jail being a small
facility it wasnt bad we usually had an easy
time with entertainment. As i said earlier we
either played cards watched TV or worked out in
our cells. And we always had a deck of cards or
something on TV. and a shower to get to when we
were done working out.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Larry: Not once i got to B Block, because we can move
around outside of our cells there, with a shower
to wash off from when we are done.
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Larry: We Got to go outside probably about 3-4 times my
entire stay there. We would usually just go out
and enjoy the sunshine. We would normally just
work out inside the jail so we could shower
afterwards.
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Larry: Yes we had church normally every thursday and
sunday if the preacher could make it. they were
spritually enlightening and uplifting.
