JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Ron: The types of facilities were available to help
pass the time away was only the gym area for
basketball or volleyball. either were not my area
of expertise. So I played cards in the recreation
area with three other guys. that was the
highlight for my stay there at the county.
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Ron: From 10 am to 10 pm you have regular access to
the entertainment, but there was no competition
for the TV. Card games were always available. we
played spades or harts or even war. so there
were no fierce competition for entertainment that
I knew of. There was limited things to do thou.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Ron: Yes there was not much to do there, staying in
shape while in jail was something you had to work
on your own.
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Ron: We were not allowed to go outside for exercise.
We did pushups, squats and arm exercises. that
was the extent besides walking in circles to pass
the time, but that get annoying to others as well.
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Ron: The did jail offer church services on Sunday
morning at 10 am. That was nice to get out of
your cell and act civilized for an hour.
