Meals

Interview with Cori and Grady

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Cori: I got four meals a day there as I was pregnant the last time I was in there.
Grady: 3

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Cori: There food there is very terrible. Towards the end of the week they mix everything up they cooked for the week and thats what everyone eats. You eat bolgana sandwhiches at least three times a week and drink nasty water down coffee, tea and juice.
Grady: Zero. Portions were fit for a 2nd grader at lunch. No fruit whatsoever. I lost 20 lbs because of the small portions.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Cori: I never liked any of the food there. It never had no taste and it was either cold, under cooked, or over cooked.
Grady: All were my least favorite. Tasteless food.No salt or pepper. 1 pint a milk a week! Just enough to keep you alive.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Cori: Yes it was for pregnant women or people that diabetes or low blood sugar. You got a sack lunch that contained either a candy bar or orange, a sandwich and a bag of chips and a milk.
Grady: Commissary yes but ALL JUNK. No real food. Candy bars and tiny bags of chips. Priced about normal as a store but some things were crazy. A golf pencil for 12 cents? HA
