Visitor Policy

Interview with Cori and Grady

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Cori: We could receive visitors twice a week. I never had a visitor while I was there but one time and that was the first I was ever jailed in Stark County.
Grady: 1 time a week for 30 minutes.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Cori: I am not sure how the visitor process was I never had a visitor vist me but one time.
Grady: I don't think so.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Cori: In 2005 you could visit someone by standing behind a bar and wall and talking to them though a phone. In 2008 they had a computer screen with a camera and phone and you spoke though the phone to your visitior. You weren't allowed to walk out of the cell to visit them in person there.
Grady: Black box with a tv and phone. Had the visit right in the cell.
