Interview with Kurt

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Kurt: There are four different blocks. A,b,c and d.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Kurt: Blocks were called a, b, c, and D. . .

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Kurt: Blocks a and d were where men where housed . B and c is where were women and trustees were housed. There was little communication between the blocks. Each block stays to themself.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Kurt: The worst part was no air conditioning in mid july with the jailer coming over the ontercom saying "it's 102 today, are y'all stayin cool?" That was bullshit. The nicest part was chow time and even that was not very great at all.The food was nasty for the most part, yuck.
