Leisure Time

Interview with Clint

JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time?
Clint: actually they didn't have anything cilities that were able to pass time other than day are outside yard time which was 3 days a week for I think anywhere from up to a half hour to an hour and other than that we got to watch on television during our outside of our cell dayroom time other than that there was pretty much not hardly any other facilities in order to pass the time

JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details.
Clint: actually I didn't find it hard at all because like I said there was pretty much no entertainment other than television time during our day room time and yeah kind of competitive because some of the inmates wanted to watch certain show and then th so yeah I would say it was quite competitive because it caused a lot of problems among see inmates and them not being able to come to an agreement on what they wanted to watch on the televisione other inmates wanted to watch a different show and they wanted it at different volume settings

JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail?
Clint: actually no I learn from other inmates on different types of exercises to try to stay in shape and I actually lost about 30 pounds while I was doing my exercises that I was taught from other inmates

JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise?
Clint: we were allowed to go outside um 3 days a week until we got moved up to H dorm which if we wanted to we were allowed to go out 7 days a week for about an hour and if for some reason you're not allowed to go outside I would do things like crunches and pushups walk laps around the dorm and burpees

JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held?
Clint: yes there was church services that I did not know what they were like because I didn't attend them but if you were in the worker down for some reason they did not provide church services
