Visitor Policy

Interview with Roger

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Roger: You could have three visits a week for at least an hour each or more if no one else had a visit at that time.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Roger: I'd say so. They had to give their ID and only wear certian types of clothes and be on the list the jail approved for you.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Roger: It was a small room with three seats for the inmates and the same on the other side for the visitors. You were separated by glass and you talked to your visitor through a payphone style phone. They also monitored your visits with cameras. After a while you get used to it.
