Interview with Barry

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Barry: I did not find it hard as i knew i was only to be there 5 days so i kept to myself. there was definatluy alot of tention in the block though

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Barry: I just kept to myself and i didnt speak unless spoken to. I did not eccept any "gifts" from inmates as to not owe them. I made my bathroom visets quick as thats where the fights would take place i suspect and took quick showers. I layed in my bunk and just waited to go to work

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Barry: we did not have cellmates we the blocks are set up military style with a row of maybe 20 bunk beds on one side a few tables on the other and at the end around the corner is where the bathrooms and showers are
