JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Keith: Depending on the block you were on there were different
activities you can participate in. Normally every block has a
gym time, some blocks have there own gym you can use at
anytime. There's a very limited library to use for books. And
there are school and church programs to attend.
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Keith: Everyone had an opportunity to use whatever entertainment
they wanted. The Tvs had limited channels so there wasn't my
to choose from and everyone normally agreed on what to
watch. There was a movie room in one block that people
would agree which movie to watch. I've never really seen
anyone argue over anything.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Keith: No there are plenty of opportunitys to keep yourself in shape
depending on what block you are on. The food doesn't really
help though.
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Keith: They only allow you outside depending on what block you
were on. I personally was never outside but the gym area is
large enough to workout in.
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Keith: They did offer plenty of church services for almost every
religion. They were held almost everyday. I'm not sure exactly
how they were.
