Inmates

Interview with Shannon

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Shannon: I actually got along with a lot of them . There was some I had words with and that was all and we never spoke again just so ther was no conflict

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Shannon: Stay to myself. Read books or sleep or just lay on my bunk and watch tv with my headphones and stay out of others fights. That was them and it wasn't non e of my affair on that part I crochet while in there and that kept my mind at ease and in my own world

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Shannon: No they would just assign you to a room that was available at the time . Sometimes your roommate would be going home or would end up in seg which is the hole as they call it.
