Interview with Bert

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Bert: When I first got in there I was put into a big dorm kinda space with arond sixteen guys. Then when they figured out what they were going to do with me, I was moved up to a different level that had single cells. I don't remember how many floors there was but I was on the eigth floor. So it was that high at least.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Bert: They just used numbers.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Bert: Yeah, they kept them seperate. They had violent offenders on one floor and sexual offenders on another. I was just mixed in with all the rest.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Bert: The nicest was that you weren't confined. You could move around a lot. They had a fridge, a microwave, flat screen TV... it felt like the army. The worst I was injured in my right arm and they kept telling me I was going to see a doctor and I never saw a doctor the whole time I was there. I found out later is was because they did't want to pay for it when they knew I was going to be moving on anyway.
