Interview with Chuck
JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Chuck: We had a pink t-shirt, green pants, and a green
shirt to wear over the pink one. During the day we
were required to have the green shirt on or we'd
get in trouble because they were having field
trips from the local schools go through.
JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Chuck: Green pants and a pink shirt under a green shirt.
JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Chuck: Not really, it was all the same material. The most
you could hope for was a newer piece of clothing.
JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Chuck: I don't think so. We never really saw the female
block other than in passing but their clothes
looked exactly the same.
