Interview with Matthew
JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Matthew: Once a week, but only 30 minutes total every week.
One non-family visitor, and as many family
visitors as you could visit in 30 minutes.
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Matthew: No cell phones, no cameras, no wallets.
JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Matthew: You get to see you family through an inch thick
piece of glass, and get to speak to them over a
phone system that sounds like two paper cups with
string attached. It's impossible to hear any
personality in anyone's voice, or any emotion.
