Interview with Erik

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Erik: I want to say 7 for the guys and 3 for the girls.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Erik: When you first get booked you go to A,B,C or D. Upstairs there is RECAP, trustees and work release.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Erik: See above.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Erik: I think I was in every one of them. Between A,B,C and D, A is the worst and D is the best. In A are all the people with really serious charges like rape and murder. People in there don't act like real people, they act like animals. In D they are more normal people. They will talk to you like a person.
