Visitor Policy

Interview with Erik

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Erik: Once a week.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Erik: They would wait anywhere from an hour to four hours just to see you. It was always busy on visiting day.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Erik: If you were in A, B, C or D units (you haven't been convicted yet) you got to see your visitors through the glass. If you were upstairs and working, or in the drug program, or a trustee it was on video monitors. This never made sense to me and I think it should be the other way around.
