Interview with Elizabeth
JM: How many different blocks were there?
Elizabeth: There were like 26 different blocks
JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Elizabeth: They didn't have names they just went by every letter of the
alphabet
JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Elizabeth: They had a gang block where all the gang members would be
, they had the sick block where inmates had HIV and other
diseases, also they had blocks wher e inmates that committed
murder and the ones who were sentenced to a lot of time
JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Elizabeth: To me there was not a nicer part, but to me the worse part was
the water, the water was tearing down my skin I always at the
nurse because the water was doing something to my skin, I
had rashes all over my body from the water to take showers,
ooh and another thing the food was terrible
