Pre-sentencing

Interview with Adam

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Adam: You spend most of the day either reading in your cell, playing cards, watching tv or just trying not to piss off the guards or other inmates. Mostly anything that helps the days go by as quickly as possible which never works. It's pure stress. They need to change a lot of things, this included.

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Adam: I had my name run because I was at the time checking in on a friend staying the night at a motel. The motel policy if a guest is being checked on or someone asks the manager to unlock a room they have to call the cops. They did so, my name was ran a d a warrant had been issued so I was arrested.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Adam: Short, to the point, and what I had to say fell on deaf and unempathetic ears. The Judicial/Legal system is flawed, ineffective, and rife with corruption and political jockeying. It needs to be torn apart and and reworked like the rest of the state and government intitutions/offices. This will never happen however, as long as the parties/powers that be are allowed to thrive, prosper and continue in their extravagant ways.

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Adam: 13 counts of first degree tampering. Class C First Degree Tampering.
