Medications

Interview with Tom

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Tom: When I came in I was under the influence so they gave me medication for that but I was in the med pod so they brought it right to me.

JM: How did you get your medications?
Tom: They had med call 2 or 3 times a day. The nurse would come up with 2 COs and they would administer the drugs to the inmate that way.

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Tom: They would put you in solitary confinement for 21 days and they could fine you like a speeding ticket and they'll take money from the commissary or take away good time.
