Interview with Bert
JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Bert: No. Actually I hate to say this but it was a
pleasent place to be. The officers were more
personable. The inmates were mostly young so when
they wanted to start fights they got removed
pretty fast.
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Bert: I just kept to myself. When I started to see
something flare up I just went my own way.
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Bert: Nope. They didn't have anything like that over
there.
