Medications

Interview with pete, Jake, Billy and Kara

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
pete: Yes
Jake: Never needed any medications.
Billy: no not at all.and seeing the doctor was a big joke.no one i met with had the right medication or access to things they absolutely needed until there was convulsions or seizures taking place literally.
Kara: No. It was tough to get medical assistance.

JM: How did you get your medications?
pete: Stood in line before meals
Jake: N/A
Billy: i did not recieve any medications
Kara: A med cart brought around meds for those that had documented conditions.

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
pete: Never occurred while I was there
Jake: I'd assume, they would be charged the same as any other.
Billy: Um I didn't hear of that too much so i can comment.
Kara: I think jail is about as punishing as you can get. Some folks who hoarded their meds were "rolled to the Southside" as discipline; those inmates were the lucky ones as that quieter area was preferred.
