JM: How long was your sentencing for? Cesar: I was given 60 days with 1 year probation. Tom: I WAS FOUND GUILTY OF MISSING MY COURT DATE AS A
MATERIAL WITNESS I WHICH I WAS ASSAULTED 10/18/2005
WHEN I TRIED TO HELP A GIRL WHO LOST HER BALANCE
WHILE DANCING ON TOP OF AN SUV. I RECEIVED 26 WEEKS
FOR THAT CHARGE AND DID NOT GO TO GEIGOR DURING
THAT TIME. Bruce: they wanted to give me 9 months in county jail, but
i had them make it a year and a day before i would
sign the plea agreement. so i received an
exceptional sentence of one year and one day Jon: I got sentenced on my robbery 2 charge for 3 months
and 60 days for my theft 2.
JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead? Cesar: Yes I did. I must say for a jail, it was what it
was. Did I have any concerns? Not really. It
was
jail. I was placed in a two man cell. I mean
what do you ask for in jail? If I had to make
some adjustments. The pads that you sleep on are
very thin and well worn, might of well slept on
the concrete bare. Again what do we expect, its
jail. Tom: I SPENT A SMALL TIME IN A HOLDING CELL WHILE
WAITING TO GO BACK TO 3WEST, IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN
IN A SUBMARINE ITS VERY MUCH LIKE THAT. Bruce: there is a couple of holding cells. right by the
video court rooms there is 4 small cells and down
the hall and around the corner there is a larger
one. the larger one is where you go when they
bring a group from the jail who have court that
day, usually 10 to 25 or 30 inmates are put in
this cell then a few at a time are taken to court,
when you are done they bring you back and you wait
till everyone is done then everyone goes back
together at one time. so i was only in the holding
cell for an hour or so then back to my cell on the
fifth floor Jon: The room was a room with metal benches, some toilets
and they always seemed to have more than max
capacity of people in the rooms. They also placed
rival gang members in the same room so there was
tension between certain people.
