JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Mona: every now and then they will take then inmates
outside to a yard where they can alk around and
get fresh air. thats all. no more no less. we
had no leisure time whatso

JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Mona: we had no entertainment! unless you buy a deck
of playing cards off the

JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Mona: i thought i was going to starve to death while i
was there. the last time i was incarcerrated in
ECJ i stayed 6 days and almost lost 8 lbs while
i was there. the food is terrible and sometimes
not etible
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Mona: i had been outside twice in the duration of my
first stay. i was there for almost 4 months and
went outside maybe twice and was pregnant and
needed the excerise
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Mona: yes church was held on certaion weeknights
volunteers would come and share the word of god
and bring us bibles for those who didnt have and
also on sunday morning we would usually have a
regular come in and hold service. that was the
best part. it was something to relate to.
