Meals

Interview with Mona

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Mona: 3 meals per day. one you get breakfast lunch and dinner if you can stomach it

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Mona: the food is usually really bad. i never had a good meal in jail. except for on 4th of july we were given a slice of watermelon and maybe a hotdog or burger it depends on how far your name is down the list what you get if your called last youre lucky to get a decent tray. bread is always hard... food is always super cold

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Mona: if i had to choose id rather eat the sloppy joess with fries or burger with fries or the red beans and rice w/ sausage. i dont like the baked chicken with rice and the "green" gravy that wasnt to keen. it was hard to stomach at times depending on what inmate is cooking in the kitchen depends on how good or bad your food wll be. I HATE THE BOLOGNA

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Mona: YES YOU ARE OFFERED COMMISARY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE FUNDS ON THEIR "BOOKS" some things are over priced some things arent. ive heard its gotten better but im not too sure . .. .
