Interview with Rhea
JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Rhea: I was sentended to 15 days in the city jail, but
I had a previous charge of theft of property for
which I hadnt gone to court on, so I was
sentenced to 30 days in Hoover city jail.
JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Rhea: I spent a few days in holding. I didnt have
anybody to bond me out, so typically I would've
gone straight back to population, but when I
came in I was addicted to heroin, so I began
going through withdrawals about 12 hours after I
was arrested so I was kept in holding for
several days, then I was moved to the "medical
unit" which was more like isolation.
