JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail? Mario: It was my experince that folling instructions,
with the guards made it easer on me being
friendly. and staying out of trouble.Reading
alot of books, going to church, and attending AA
meetings helped me stay positive. writing
familey and friends helped... and prayer went
along way.. being my self.. not acting as if i
were somebody different.. helped..not gambling.
kept me out of trouble also.. Tanya: Write the addresses and phone numbers for anyone
you may want to stay in touch with in your bible
and take it with you. They will let you take it
inside and if you have to go to another facility,
it is the 1 thing you will always be allowed to
keep with you as long as you don't lose the
privilege to possess and read any spiritual or
religious material up to 5 books
JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them? Mario: try reading a good book, get involved in church,
pray.It was necessary for me to have a
routine.write familey and friends alot.phone
calls are expensive.. spend your money
wisely.and mind your own business.. i had a
saying if it does not apply let it fly. lol. Tanya: Take your bible, keep to yourself. Show respect
and remember that you don't find friends in
prison unless they were you're friend long before
you got there.
