JM: How often could you receive visitors? John: Twice a week?? EI never received " visitors " as I
say below in a personal sense .
Early on , when I knew it was likely I'd be doing
time , I asked one santa Cruz friend to , if it
was possible at any time I was inside , IF , keep
the possibility of visiting me if he was nearby
(He is a traveling street musician - from Scotland
.) , for wich he would've had to give me certain "
ID-card " information that I would've had to
present the jail people for them to approve ,
hopefully , him .
Long story short , while I promised I'd do
nothing bad with such information , and I did not
even ask for a promise he would visit , or even
write , only the possibility being open and if he
happened to be in the area anyway...he gave me a
lot of evasive answers and sort of (to parody)
gave me " don't harsh my mellow3 dude/you're too
logical " answers - basically , later on , he let
it slip IIRC that hem was determined to never do
it , even leave it as a (As I said) even
possibility - He said at one point " Do I ask you
to visit me at (a new job in a nearby town from
which I beieve he could've reached me , if he were
there - he tended toward evasive " i don't have an
ID card/I don't know what the bus schedlues are "
answers .)
Eventually , he IIRC let it slip afterward that he
had been detremined to never even say that he
might visit me , let alone actually do it .
\ This greatly reduced/has all but destroyed our
friendship , such as it was .
A friend in need ! Yeah - right.........
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you? John: Beyond some people from charity organization
Friends Outside , whom I asked to see , no one
ever came to visit me , so that's non-applicable .
JM: What was the visiting environment like? John: Seperated by walls and a window , I think you
could speak through meshing , not a telephone .
I was only visited once , as I said , so...
