Interview with Darren

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Darren: I'm not real sure. Where we were at there were... wow, there was a bunch, 6 to 8 I want to say. The block I was in had 36 people in it. 30 were black, 4 were white and 2 were Latino.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Darren: They had letters.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Darren: I really don't know if it was an alphabetical thing or if it was by charges. I was in there with a lot of different kinds of people who had committed different crimes. They sure weren't trying to keep the races even. There are more black than white people.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Darren: They were pretty much the same.
