JM: How many different blocks were there? Tom: 10 I do believe Jackie: I think in the old jail there were either 2 or 4.
JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they? Tom: No Jackie: Not sure.
JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks? Tom: they were classified Jackie: All I can tell you is that in my unit, they
ranged from prostitution to drugs.
JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks? Tom: The worst thing is they have a Lt. who runs the
jail that is prejudice toward all white people
and every guard will tell you the same Jackie: The worst part about the block I was in, was
that is was very dirty. I was there two weeks
before getting a change of clothes. All the
women had to wash their clothes in the toilets
or the shower.
