Inmates

Interview with Sean

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Sean: once i was moved to general pop it was no biggie.. some definite cliques had formed but i found it easy to get along with all fairly easily... i was threatened with inciting a riot as an additional charge for sharing information about the dangers of MERSA as an inmate had it and medical released him back to our pod

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Sean: i helped all stay peaceful... we were already inside... no sense in catching extra charges... i carved extra soap into little trinkets with my lunch spoon and gave them out to different inmates to increase pod moral.. i also helped the early morning cleaning crew ... as long as in individual pulled their own weight and minded their manners there was not much issue

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Sean: i had two different cell mates i could not chose them i did have about a two and a half week period with no cell mate my first cell mate gave me a large collection of books
