JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Sean: we were often denied our one hour a week out door
recreation besides that you could "volunteer" to be
a trustee ... ( i refused to be a trustee because
they wanted me to shave my beard)... other than that
it was TV in the common room or board games/ cards..
and books
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Sean: there was a guy who led daily workouts the TV was
fought over ( but i didn't care what i watch ... i
even turned some inmates onto jeopardy... i mainly
played cards read and walked the wall to wall like
a caged animal occasionally id walk the steps as
well to keep mu legs as i was a bicycle commuter
before i was arrested
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Sean: yes the calorie count int he food was odd... it was
all junk filler i gained weight and lost muscle mass
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Sean: we were allowed one hour a week which often we were
not allowed they said the forgot ( the jailers).. if
we could we could go out we could only walk in an
enclosed space... no weights no balls nothing
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Sean: yes i claimed i was an athiest so i do not know
several went once a week to a christian non
denominational gathering, and once in 30 days a
priest tried to come around and distribute
literature and preach...
