Interview with Tina

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Tina: I'm not sure, I just went when they called me. They called you by last name.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Tina: I don't know. I'd have to ask. I really didn't want visitors, because I didn't intend to make that my home. I know on one occasion my sister came to visit and an individual that wasn't permitted to visit me legally also showed up. My sister spoke to a CO and explained that he wasn't to be there.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Tina: Cold, separated by glass, a phone. Horrible, just like television. For me, not really worth it. Also, I felt bad that someone would take the time to get ready, spend money on gas for such a waste of time. There was nothing private about it. I also met with a PD, (public defender), through glass, because of circumstances. He didn't represent me in court, but he did come anyway. He knew my attorney. With that visit, we passed paperwork through a slot under the glass. This visit was in a different area than personal visits.
