Interview with George

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
George: After I got arrested I was scheduled to go to court. I obtained a personal private lawyer through my parents to argue my case. When the court date arrived to be tried in front of the judge i arrived and they waived jurisdiction and they sent me to prison immediately

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
George: No the police did not come to my house for questioning. I was arrested because I stole a car and I was being pulled over and I fled from the cops in a volkswagon. I tried to escape but to no avail I was stopped and I was arrested/ detained.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
George: That day in court I was expecting to at least get a fair trial, but because of my crime and my age I was judged unfairly. The judge wouldnt listen to my lawyers side. They had pretty much already decidede that I was guilty so my experience in court was not a good one.

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
George: Grand theft auto and fleeing
