Ezekiel: YOU HAD PRETTY GOOD ACCESS TO THE PHONES IF YOU
HAD MONEY ON YOUR ACCOUNT
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Ezekiel: THE FIRST 5 MINUTES COST YOU 5 DOLLARS, THEN THE
NEXT THREE MINUTES COST YOU 3 DOLLARS, AND MOST
PEOPLE SPENT AT LEAST 5 DOLLAR A WEEK BUT SOME
PEOPLE HAD NO MONIES AND SOME PEOPLE HAD PLENTY
OF MONEY
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Ezekiel: NOT WHEN I WAS THERE THEY HAD A NUMBER SYSTEM

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Ezekiel: OH YES THEY SCREENED EVERYTHING
